Born in California and raised in Houston, Texas, Britney got her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at the University of Houston. As a marketing manager specializing in social media marketing, Britney has increased engagement, reach, and impact across platforms. Her mission is to create connections.
In her free time, she enjoys watching rom-coms, going to art galleries, trying new restaurants, and being outside.

As program manager, I managed the department's social media accounts, Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), as well as managed student staff and assisted in all strategic communications and marketing efforts for the department.
2022
As a social media strategist, I created and maintained the social media calendar and created content for the department's various social media accounts, including, but not limited to taking photos, filming and editing videos, and creating Instagram story graphics.
Instagram stories that follow branding to inform audience and followers of services and events across different program areas within the department.
Short-form video content posted to TikTok and Instagram as Reels to entertain the target student demographic and followers using trending audio and inspired video concepts.
Note: The TikTok account was deactivated in December 2022 due to Texas legislation and all analytics and links on this page are from reposts to Instagram Reels.

A student-run marketing firm under the University of Houston's American Marketing Association chapter.

Internal Director
As Internal Director, I recruited and interviewed approx. 60 peers to fill account executive and intern positions over two semesters. In addition, I lead and managed a team of 10 executives as well as conducted workshops on social media marketing and client communications of about 30 people.

Human Resources Executive
As HR exec, I assisted the Internal Director in recruiting and interviewing 20 peer candidates to determine their fit within the organization. I assisted in planning and forming the teams and events, as well as problem-solve interpersonal and logistical conflicts as they arise.

Team: Internal Cougar Creative - Social
I assisted in filming and creating TikToks to entertain with a goal to raise brand awareness. We followed trends and trending audios while creating original content.

Client: Hot Pot City
As an intern, I assisted in conducting photoshoots for a local family-owned Houston restaurant, focusing on food photography. I was the copywriter, writing Instagram captions, coming up with hashtags, and posting on schedule.

Media Mate
2021-2022
As a marketing intern for Media Mate on its account for the University of Houston's student-run newspaper The Cougar, I created graphics for The Cougar's Instagram stories and posts.
In addition, I collaborated with the team of interns to conduct and promote a readership survey, analyzed the data received, and presented our strategic marketing recommendations to the client.
Entrepreneurial E-tailing project

For my Entrepreneurial E-tailing class, I worked with a team to come up with a unique e-commerce concept. I developed the logo to reflect the brand's values, vision, and mission, as well as used Wix to create a functioning website.
